MooGoo Nappy Balm Review.

Sometimes our little bundles of joy get the odd case of nappy rash. I always feel soo sorry for my toddler when he gets it! He loves eating fruit and sometimes too much fruit produces too much you-know-what. So when it comes to treating the rash, this balm is always the one I go to. I've continually repurchased it- not only as a fantastic fix for nappy rash but an amazing preventative. I have tried others and none can even compare to this product! So next time your in need of a nappy balm, I seriously recommend chucking one of these in your milk pail!

Here is my review!

MooGoo Nappy Balm* is described as follows: "As all parents know, babies often get red and irritated skin around the nappy area. This can be caused by either a reaction to urea, or by yeast. The introduction of a barrier cream combined with an anti yeast ingredient is the best way to prevent this. In addition, it would help if the ingredients not only agreed with our skin but our insides too. We all know how much babies enjoy eating anything within arm’s reach. So we made MooGoo Nappy Balm. (Class 1 Medical Device)." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients: Zinc, Sunflower Seed Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Evening Primrose Oil, Natural Vitamin E & more! All of these help create a barrier to help clear up the rash as well as treat and moisturise the skin.

Best Used: As a preventative after every nappy change as well as an incredible fix for nappy rash. You can use this cream also to treat dribble rash-of course it works a treat for this too.

Smells Like: A nicer version of zinc.

Pros: Each ingredient is specifically designed to help treat and prevent the rash. It works every time with my toddler and I love knowing I can always count on this product. It also does not contain any nut oils for parents peace of mind. It clears up my toddlers rash within two days and I simply can't thank MooGoo enough!

Cons: None.

Price/Purchase From: $13.50 for 100g (lasts for ages!) -Available from some pharmacies or online at www.MooGoo.com.au

I seriously recommend looking at the website where it explains in more detail the amazing ingredients of this product and how they aid in helping rashes :)

Vital Greens Powder Review.

"Greens Powders" are becoming more & more popular these days, and as far as the best ones on the market go, THIS greens/superfood powder is definitely in the top three. With 76 incredible ingredients it's quite hard to beat. These ingredients include vitamins, minerals, superfoods, antioxidants, herbs, probiotics, alkalising proteins, digestive enzymes & more!

Here is my review!

Vital Greens Powder* is described as follows: "When naturopaths Stephen Sprada & Shane Sullivan developed Vital Greens, their aim was to create a "one stop shop" for their patients: all their nutritional needs in a single daily serve. Because Vital Greens is an all-natural formula, the body recognises it as a food and absorbs it more easily at the cellular level." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients: Some of my favourites include- Spirulina, Chlorella, Kale, Rosehip, Spinach, Wheatgrass, Barley, Flaxseed, Papaya, & soo many more. The full list is on their website.

Best Used: I love putting the two heaped teaspoons in pineapple juice in the morning. You can seriously barely taste it in the pineapple juice! You can also add it to healthy smoothies or sprinkle on cereal.

Smells Like: Sweet greens.

Pros: Contains 76 incredible ingredients beneficial for health and skin. This makes me feel more energised, awake, less tired and less hungry for snacks during the day. I love the peace of mind knowing all those ingredients are so beneficial for my health and I can consume them every morning.

Cons: I personally have to drink it in juice or I can't handle the taste- however friends and family of mine love it by itself!

Price/Purchase From: There are a few different sizes available- in the photo above I have used the 120g tub which you can purchase for around $26.99(about a months worth) -Available from some pharmacies.

I seriously recommend looking at the website where it explains in more detail the amazing benefits of this product :)

The Health Benefits of Cacao

Cacao is an amazing alternative to chocolate- and a delicious one at that! It's no wonder we are seeing, hearing & discovering more about it.
In the above photo I used Cacao to make a beautifully delicious cacao hot chocolate-such a fantastic alternative to normal chocolate powder! I used Power Superfoods Cacao Powder, Maca Powder, Coconut Sugar, Cacao Nibs & hot water to make a tasty hot chocolate drink. I was so pleased with the result!
Speaking of tasty, I love this Cacao lip balm by Power Superfoods- if you're a chocolate lover you will love this balm! (It's not called "The Ultimate Chocolate Kiss" for nothing!) But even more than the scrumptious scent, I love that all the ingredients are organic. It's up there as a new favourite of mine!
I love knowing why things are good for me- so I made a list of facts and benefits of Cacao below!

Cacao trees are found in tropical rain forests across the world. The tree produces pods which contain the actual cacao beans which are absolutely full of antioxidants.
Cacao is not the same as common cocoa. It is the raw, first stage which still contains all the antioxidants and enzymes.

Here are some interesting benefits of cacao:

-it has an ORAC score (measure of antioxidant amounts) of 95,500 which is very high. This helps prevent the body from ageing and disease.
-A great source of magnesium- helps relax you and your body.
-Contains iron, copper, calcium, potassium & zinc.
-Great source of sulphur- helps keep nails strong & hair healthy.
-Helps regulate blood pressure.

Cacao is a great guilt-free treat. Though it is best not to have more than around 6 heaped teaspoons a day.
So next time you're thinking of reaching for the chocolate powder, I seriously recommend trying this instead!

MooGoo Full Cream Moisturiser Review

MooGoo are an incredible, no gimmick, natural skincare brand who are proudly Australian made- and create the most unique, luxurious products.
I'll admit, I'm super picky when it comes to looking at every ingredient in a product- and I love every single ingredient in this facial moisturiser.
What makes MooGoo different to every other brand I've ever seen is that they literally explain each ingredient in the product, why they use it, and how it is beneficial for the skin. I absolutely LOVE how they do this.

Here is my review!

The MooGoo Full Cream Moisturiser* is described as follows: "This moisturising cream promotes skin health and elasticity with rich natural moisturising ingredients and milk protein which helps skin elasticity." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive, Hydrolysed Milk Protein, Aloe, Allantoin, Natural Vitamin E, Honey & more!
(The website describes how each ingredient is beneficial for the skin.)

Best Used: The first day I used this I applied it to my face three times- I love it that much! It is unlike any other moisturiser I've ever used. I use this as my daily moisturiser and it leaves my skin feeling oh-so-soft and extremely supple. It is a fantastic daily moisturiser for adults and children, and those with easily irritated skin. I also like to use it as a body lotion which works beautifully. It is a lovely, luxurious moisturiser.

Smells Like: Sweet milk & honey! This is one of the reasons this moisturiser is so unique and lovely.

Pros: All of the ingredients in this product leave your skin ultra-hydrated and are fantastic for my dry skin. I love the smell, it makes putting on a daily moisturiser feel heavenly.

Cons: None. At all.

Price/Purchase From: $13.50 for 75g or $18.50 for 270g- Available from some pharmacies or online at MooGoo.com.au

I seriously recommend looking at the MooGoo website- they explain each ingredient in every product and I am so passionate about that!

Plunkett's Vita E Range Review

Plunkett's Vita E Range Review.

Vitamin E is such an important ingredient to have in your skincare products. To be honest I'm actually a little bit obsessed with it! It is an antioxidant that protects and repairs your skin. This means that when you apply a product with vitamin E to your skin you are not only protecting your skin from damage, but repairing any previous damage such as the effect of free radicals, dryness, fine lines, scars, wrinkles and more. It is an awesome collagen booster which helps keep the skin elastic.
Our skin actually doesn't produce Vitamin E itself, so it's super important to apply it to skin as well as making sure you are consuming enough foods high in vitamin E such as avocados, nuts, kale etc.
So when I saw Plunkett's Vita E range I definitely wanted to give it a go!

Here is my review!

The Plunkett's Vita E Pure Vitamin E Oil* as well as the Natural Vitamin E Cream* are described as follows: "Super-concentrated pure Vitamin E for easy absorption plus rich Rosehip Oil. Protects and nourishes skin against moisture loss, dehydration and signs of ageing." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients (Vitamin E Oil): Vitamin E, Rosehip Oil.

Main Ingredients: (Vitamin E Cream): Vitamin E, Rosehip Oil, Allantoin, Lanolin.

Best Used: The Vitamin E oil is definitely my favourite. It can be used on the face, hands & body. I love it added into my moisturiser & at night I'll just add it straight under my eyes for a nice boost! It is a bit thick and sticky so at night you can totally get away with applying it straight. It's definitely a product I want to keep in the house forever.
The Vitamin E cream I love to use as a body lotion and it leaves my skin feeling so hydrated. It absorbs very quickly and adds a protective barrier to my skin.

Smells Like: The Vitamin E oil has a subtle rose smell, and I cannot figure out what the cream smells like! I will work it out...

Pros: A fantastic way to protect and repair skin. The oil is a fantastic boost at night by itself! It is high potency and a fantastic all-rounder. Fragrance free, no parabens.

Cons: The cream does contain mineral oil.

Price/Purchase From: $16.95 for 25ml of oil- $14.95 for 100g cream. These are available in some pharmacies or online at Plunketts.com.au

The Benefits of Acai

The Benefits of Acai

Acai berries/powder are increasing in popularity every day. The well known purple fruit is even in the worlds Top Ten Antioxidant Superfruits!
It seems like Instagram is continually full of health photos of Acai smoothies, bowls & more!
They are found in the rain forests of the Amazon and have been known for hundreds of years for countless health benefits. I've listed the most common benefits below!

-Extremely high in antioxidants (one berry has ten times more antioxidants then red grapes and thirty times more than red wine.)
-Provides an energy boost and assists with exhaustion.
-Boosts the immune system as it is extremely high in Vitamin C and elegiac acid.
-Promotes skin health and a healthy glow from the inside out. (This is why it is also called the Beauty Berry.)
-Helps lower cholesterol as it is high in anthocyanins.
-Contains essential fatty acids and 19 amino acids.
-Full of minerals such as iron, calcium, potassium & phosphorus.

I love Acai powder because it is so easy to add into every day foods such as smoothies, yoghurt, muesli, fruit juice and more!

If you're in the market for an antioxidant powder then you may wish to give Acai a go :) It's so great to start the day off with an energising Superfruits breakfast. In the smoothie above I have used Power Superfoods Acai Powder- an extremely high quality acai powder. You can buy their products in some local health shops or online at powersuperfoods.com.au !

Burt's Bees Lip Balms Review

Burt's Bees Lip Balms Review.

I have used Burt's Bees lip balms since 2012 and they still remain my favourite lip balms. For someone who has very dry lips these really help protect and replenish my lips- and produce hydrating, long term results!
They are so much better to use on your lips as the natural ingredients rehydrate the lips instead of irritate them (like with your average lip balm made from nasties-all the chemicals leave my lips drier than before, itchy and irritated.) Burt's Bees have a range of lip balm flavours such as Pomegranate, Grapefruit, and Mango-which all smell incredible! Today however,
I am reviewing my favourite two lip balms from the Burt's Bees range- the Honey Lip Balm & the Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm.

Here is my review for my two favourite Burt's Bees Lip Balms:

The Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm is described as follows: "Made with sweet, soothing honey, this natural lip balm moisturises and nourishes lips." (Short version of the description.)

The Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm is described as: "Clinically proven to offer four hours of long lasting moisturization, this ultra- hydrating lip conditioner is infused with rich Kokum, Shea, and Cocoa Butters." (Short version of description.)

Main Ingredients (Honey): Beeswax, Sunflower Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Lanolin, Honey, Vitamin E & more.
Main Ingredients (Ultra Conditioning): Coconut Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Avacado Oil, Kokum Butter & many more.

Best Used: I use the Ultra Conditioning lip balm every day underneath lipstick/lip gloss. It is a must have item for me! I love to use the Honey lip balm for bedtime so my lips can be replenished over night and be protected from the night air.

Smells Like: The Honey lip balm smells-surprise surprise- like honey!
The Ultra Conditioning has a natural, almost floral scent.

Pros: A fantastic all-natural lip balm, offers long lasting and long term results, all the ingredients help soothe lips, soft and smooth to apply.

Cons: A bit more expensive then your average lip balm- but it's much better for your lips!

Price/Purchase From: Around $6.99 for 4.2g (the average lip balm size)- I purchase all my Burt's Bees goodies at Priceline- (www.priceline.com.au)
