Premium Spa Body Wash & Face/Body Mask Review.

Even though Summer has come to an end *insert sad sigh here* I can't help loving products that still remind me of Summer. What led me to the Premium Spa brand was not only their beautiful packaging, summery website and gorgeous product scents, but that their ingredients are really beneficial for the skin too! Not to mention all their products are really great value for money and really inexpensive! Great gift ideas.
Today I'm reviewing the Premium Spa Tangerine & Lime Zest Body Wash* and the Premium Spa Face and Body Mask with White Clay, Rosehip & Chamomile*!

Here is my review!

I have really loved using these products. The Tangerine and Lime Zest Body Wash smells incredible and leaves you feeling clean and revitalised. The citrus scent from the natural oils reminds me of summer mornings, and it really gives you that wake up boost so it's perfect to use in the mornings. Normally I wouldn't get ridiculously excited about a tangerine/lime smell, but when I first smelt it I ran with it into the living room and said to my husband "SMELL THIS!" Safe to say he loved it too.
Both these products are not only inexpensive but a little bit goes a long way with both of these.

The Face and Body Mask is beautiful. I was surprised at first because it was quite a bit more runny then any other face masks I have tried before, but it actually made me use less and cover way more of my face! (Don't you hate when you have to use half a tube of a face mask to cover your face! Slight exaggeration...but still.)
It dried perfectly and as it contains kaolin clay it set perfectly and came off leaving my skin squeaky clean. Don't you love that feeling!?

Favourite Ingredients (Body Wash): Aloe Vera Extract, Chamomile Flower Extract, Cinnamon Bark Oil, Tangerine Peel Oil, Lemon Peel Oil, Lime Oil, Vitamin E & more!

Favourite Ingredients (Face/Body Mask): Australian Kaolin, Witch Hazel Extract, Silica, Oat Kernel Extract, Olive Leaf Extract, Rosehip Fruit Extract & many more!

Best Used: The Tangerine & Lime Zest Body Wash is definitely my favourite morning body wash- I love using this to wake me up and those citrus smells make you feel amazing!
The Face and Body Mask is great used once or twice a week- I love using this at night and then putting my favourite moisturiser on afterwards!

Smells Like: The Body Wash smells of invigorating tangerine and lime, while the Face and Body mask has a beautiful chamomile (and something else I can't put my finger on!) aroma.

Pros: Both these products smell amazing and are so inexpensive. They are also great gift ideas! The ingredients are beautiful with no parabens, mineral oils, propylene glycol, SLES, detergents, synthetic fillers or polybeads. They both last a long time and a little goes a long way.

Cons: As the body wash does contain fragrance and ALS, I would not recommend it for sensitive skin.

Price/Purchase From: Body Wash- $9.99 for 300ml. Face & Body Mask-$14.99 for 150ml. These are available at your local Priceline or at www.Priceline.com.au

Morlife Alkalising Greens PH7.3 Review.

It's so important for our bodies to be alkaline (rather than acidic) to keep our bodies healthy, so I love how this product has made it its aim! I have really loved using this greens powder, It's so easy to add to my juice every day. What I love about it is the whole amount of greens you add actually mixes in properly, so you're not left with left over powder at the bottom!

As well as this greens powder, Morlife actually have Greens Rush bars that contain this green powder IN them, and you can't taste it! My favourite flavour is definitely the Cacao Mint, however they also come in Banana Tropicana & Pineapple Zest.
On the back of the container of the greens is an awesome chart explaining just how alkalising the product is-I've found it really helpful!

Here is my review!

The Morlife Alkalising Greens pH7.3* is described as follows: "Morlife Alkalising Greens pH7.3 is a unique blend of potent alkalising foods and has been scientifically measured to show a very high alkalising potential using the PRAL calculation. It contains a wide range of nutrient dense green super foods, plus specific alkalising minerals, L-glutamine and herbs beneficial for promoting balance." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients: Some of my favourites include Barley Grass, Wheat Grass, Chlorella, Spirulina, Chlorophyll, Aloe Vera & many more!

Best Used: Mixing 1 tablespoon into your favourite juice, smoothie or water. Unlike some other greens powders you can actually use this twice daily if desired! You can also add this to salad dressings and other healthy snacks, however I prefer taking this in pineapple juice.

Smells Like: Greens.

Pros: I have loved using this greens powder! It is the first powder I've used to actually mix with my juice properly so I don't have powder sitting at the bottom-I was really shocked and impressed at the same time! It contains 18 vegetables & fruits, It is high alkalising, contains probiotics, prebiotics, fibre, calcium, magnesium, potassium & is free from artificial flavours, colours, preservatives and sweeteners. It is also suitable for vegetarians & vegans!
(Not suitable however for people under 15 or pregnant women.)
It's so easy to add this in to my day and I love that peace of mind you get after drinking it.

Cons: Some may find this a bit pricey.

Price/Purchase From: Sizes vary but in the photo above I've used the 300g container which you can purchase for $69.95-Available from some health shops or online at www.morlife.com

Banaban Certified Organic Coconut Flour & Sugar Review.

There is so many great ways to use Coconut Flour and Coconut Sugar in recipes! I'm pretty much obsessed with anything coconut- so the idea of adding them into my recipes made me so excited!
This brand of Organic Coconut Flour and Organic Coconut Sugar is such high quality and contains 100% only coconut. It's so easy to use these instead of your typical flour and sugar- but the bonus of it being so much better for you!

Here is my review!

The Banaban Certified Organic Coconut Flour* is described as follows: "Can be used in the baking of bread, pastries, cakes & gravy. Naturally low in digestive carbohydrate, contains no gluten and is loaded with health promoting fibre & important nutrients." (Short version of the description.)
The Banaban Certified Organic Coconut Sugar* is described as follows: "An excellent healthy natural sugar substitute with a low GI of 35 and a rich source of vitamins and minerals." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients (Flour): 100% Dried Coconut Meat.

Main Ingredients (Sugar): 100% Pure Granulated & Crystallised Coconut Nectar.

Best Used: As a flour and sugar substitute! Make sure you research properly however, as you can't simply add the same amount of coconut flour as you would your normal flour. I used this flour and sugar in my favourite banana chia muffins (as shown above) and I was surprised at how well they worked! As much as I love coconut, I was a bit apprehensive about it making my muffins too "coconutty." Surprisingly though, it didn't! There was just a slight taste of coconut which made them even more delicious. There is some fantastic recipes online for using both these products.

Smells Like: Both these products smell of beautiful coconut, with the sugar smelling nice and sweet.

Pros (Flour): little carbohydrate content, high fibre, makes you feel fuller, contains vitamin c, iron, vitamin B1 and calcium, gluten free, no preservatives. Such a great flour substitute!

Pros (Sugar): Contains iron, zinc, calcium, potassium & more in small amounts, low GI, a fantastic sugar alternative!

Cons: Zero.

Price/Purchase From: Sizes vary, but 500g of Coconut Sugar is $10.90 and 500g of Coconut Flour is $8.40- Available from some health shops or online at www.naturepacific.com

Power Superfoods Epzen Bath Crystals Review.

Epsom salts are becoming more popular these days for a number of reasons, but perhaps one of the most common uses is adding it to your bath for optimal relaxation. After a long day, it's soo good to jump into a hot bath and just relax. I have absolutely loved using this product added to my bath or foot spa!
Epsom salts aren't actually a salt- but are a pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulphate. Our skin rapidly absorbs both of these and therefore provides so many benefits when adding this to your bath (such as muscle relaxation, supplying the body with magnesium to reduce stress levels, relieving aches and pains, eliminating toxins, providing the body with overall relaxation and more!)
This brand of Epsom salts is just amazing. It not only contains the highest quality Epsom salts but also contains beautifully relaxing natural essential oils of Rosewood, Ylang Ylang, Rose Geranium, Frankincense & May Chang-just for added relaxation!

Here is my review!
The Power Superfoods Epzen Magnesium Bath Crystals* are described as follows: "Three highly recommended stress relievers are magnesium, aromatherapy and mineral soaks -- just like these magnesium bath crystals! Taking the time to economically revitalize for as little as 20 minutes in the bath (or even a foot soak!) can help us face the next challenges life throws our way, and transition to a calmer, more peaceful state of mind. Wonderful for the overworked, overburdened, or stressed out- and anyone else!  (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients: Pure Magnesium Sulphate with added natural essential oils.

Best Used: By adding two cups in a nice hot bath or one cup in a foot spa. When we stress our body is deprived of magnesium so this is such a great way to get the much needed magnesium back into our bodies.

Smells Like: A beautiful floral, relaxing smell.

Pros: I have absolutely loved using these bath crystals! They make your body feel so relaxed-and seeing as I always used these at night they really made me feel quite sleepy too! (In a nice, relaxing way.)

Cons: This isn't actually a con (more like a handy note) If you don't generally find the scent of essential oils nice then you may prefer the "Pure" blend- this is just high quality magnesium sulphate with no oils. You can also mix this with your favourite oils- see the recipes on their site!

Price/Purchase From: $10.95 for 900g (lasts for ages!) -Available from some health shops or online at www.powersuperfoods.com.au

MooGoo Nappy Balm Review.

Sometimes our little bundles of joy get the odd case of nappy rash. I always feel soo sorry for my toddler when he gets it! He loves eating fruit and sometimes too much fruit produces too much you-know-what. So when it comes to treating the rash, this balm is always the one I go to. I've continually repurchased it- not only as a fantastic fix for nappy rash but an amazing preventative. I have tried others and none can even compare to this product! So next time your in need of a nappy balm, I seriously recommend chucking one of these in your milk pail!

Here is my review!

MooGoo Nappy Balm* is described as follows: "As all parents know, babies often get red and irritated skin around the nappy area. This can be caused by either a reaction to urea, or by yeast. The introduction of a barrier cream combined with an anti yeast ingredient is the best way to prevent this. In addition, it would help if the ingredients not only agreed with our skin but our insides too. We all know how much babies enjoy eating anything within arm’s reach. So we made MooGoo Nappy Balm. (Class 1 Medical Device)." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients: Zinc, Sunflower Seed Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Evening Primrose Oil, Natural Vitamin E & more! All of these help create a barrier to help clear up the rash as well as treat and moisturise the skin.

Best Used: As a preventative after every nappy change as well as an incredible fix for nappy rash. You can use this cream also to treat dribble rash-of course it works a treat for this too.

Smells Like: A nicer version of zinc.

Pros: Each ingredient is specifically designed to help treat and prevent the rash. It works every time with my toddler and I love knowing I can always count on this product. It also does not contain any nut oils for parents peace of mind. It clears up my toddlers rash within two days and I simply can't thank MooGoo enough!

Cons: None.

Price/Purchase From: $13.50 for 100g (lasts for ages!) -Available from some pharmacies or online at www.MooGoo.com.au

I seriously recommend looking at the website where it explains in more detail the amazing ingredients of this product and how they aid in helping rashes :)

Vital Greens Powder Review.

"Greens Powders" are becoming more & more popular these days, and as far as the best ones on the market go, THIS greens/superfood powder is definitely in the top three. With 76 incredible ingredients it's quite hard to beat. These ingredients include vitamins, minerals, superfoods, antioxidants, herbs, probiotics, alkalising proteins, digestive enzymes & more!

Here is my review!

Vital Greens Powder* is described as follows: "When naturopaths Stephen Sprada & Shane Sullivan developed Vital Greens, their aim was to create a "one stop shop" for their patients: all their nutritional needs in a single daily serve. Because Vital Greens is an all-natural formula, the body recognises it as a food and absorbs it more easily at the cellular level." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients: Some of my favourites include- Spirulina, Chlorella, Kale, Rosehip, Spinach, Wheatgrass, Barley, Flaxseed, Papaya, & soo many more. The full list is on their website.

Best Used: I love putting the two heaped teaspoons in pineapple juice in the morning. You can seriously barely taste it in the pineapple juice! You can also add it to healthy smoothies or sprinkle on cereal.

Smells Like: Sweet greens.

Pros: Contains 76 incredible ingredients beneficial for health and skin. This makes me feel more energised, awake, less tired and less hungry for snacks during the day. I love the peace of mind knowing all those ingredients are so beneficial for my health and I can consume them every morning.

Cons: I personally have to drink it in juice or I can't handle the taste- however friends and family of mine love it by itself!

Price/Purchase From: There are a few different sizes available- in the photo above I have used the 120g tub which you can purchase for around $26.99(about a months worth) -Available from some pharmacies.

I seriously recommend looking at the website where it explains in more detail the amazing benefits of this product :)

The Health Benefits of Cacao

Cacao is an amazing alternative to chocolate- and a delicious one at that! It's no wonder we are seeing, hearing & discovering more about it.
In the above photo I used Cacao to make a beautifully delicious cacao hot chocolate-such a fantastic alternative to normal chocolate powder! I used Power Superfoods Cacao Powder, Maca Powder, Coconut Sugar, Cacao Nibs & hot water to make a tasty hot chocolate drink. I was so pleased with the result!
Speaking of tasty, I love this Cacao lip balm by Power Superfoods- if you're a chocolate lover you will love this balm! (It's not called "The Ultimate Chocolate Kiss" for nothing!) But even more than the scrumptious scent, I love that all the ingredients are organic. It's up there as a new favourite of mine!
I love knowing why things are good for me- so I made a list of facts and benefits of Cacao below!

Cacao trees are found in tropical rain forests across the world. The tree produces pods which contain the actual cacao beans which are absolutely full of antioxidants.
Cacao is not the same as common cocoa. It is the raw, first stage which still contains all the antioxidants and enzymes.

Here are some interesting benefits of cacao:

-it has an ORAC score (measure of antioxidant amounts) of 95,500 which is very high. This helps prevent the body from ageing and disease.
-A great source of magnesium- helps relax you and your body.
-Contains iron, copper, calcium, potassium & zinc.
-Great source of sulphur- helps keep nails strong & hair healthy.
-Helps regulate blood pressure.

Cacao is a great guilt-free treat. Though it is best not to have more than around 6 heaped teaspoons a day.
So next time you're thinking of reaching for the chocolate powder, I seriously recommend trying this instead!

MooGoo Full Cream Moisturiser Review

MooGoo are an incredible, no gimmick, natural skincare brand who are proudly Australian made- and create the most unique, luxurious products.
I'll admit, I'm super picky when it comes to looking at every ingredient in a product- and I love every single ingredient in this facial moisturiser.
What makes MooGoo different to every other brand I've ever seen is that they literally explain each ingredient in the product, why they use it, and how it is beneficial for the skin. I absolutely LOVE how they do this.

Here is my review!

The MooGoo Full Cream Moisturiser* is described as follows: "This moisturising cream promotes skin health and elasticity with rich natural moisturising ingredients and milk protein which helps skin elasticity." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive, Hydrolysed Milk Protein, Aloe, Allantoin, Natural Vitamin E, Honey & more!
(The website describes how each ingredient is beneficial for the skin.)

Best Used: The first day I used this I applied it to my face three times- I love it that much! It is unlike any other moisturiser I've ever used. I use this as my daily moisturiser and it leaves my skin feeling oh-so-soft and extremely supple. It is a fantastic daily moisturiser for adults and children, and those with easily irritated skin. I also like to use it as a body lotion which works beautifully. It is a lovely, luxurious moisturiser.

Smells Like: Sweet milk & honey! This is one of the reasons this moisturiser is so unique and lovely.

Pros: All of the ingredients in this product leave your skin ultra-hydrated and are fantastic for my dry skin. I love the smell, it makes putting on a daily moisturiser feel heavenly.

Cons: None. At all.

Plunkett's Vita E Range Review

Plunkett's Vita E Range Review.

Vitamin E is such an important ingredient to have in your skincare products. To be honest I'm actually a little bit obsessed with it! It is an antioxidant that protects and repairs your skin. This means that when you apply a product with vitamin E to your skin you are not only protecting your skin from damage, but repairing any previous damage such as the effect of free radicals, dryness, fine lines, scars, wrinkles and more. It is an awesome collagen booster which helps keep the skin elastic.
Our skin actually doesn't produce Vitamin E itself, so it's super important to apply it to skin as well as making sure you are consuming enough foods high in vitamin E such as avocados, nuts, kale etc.
So when I saw Plunkett's Vita E range I definitely wanted to give it a go!

Here is my review!

The Plunkett's Vita E Pure Vitamin E Oil* as well as the Natural Vitamin E Cream* are described as follows: "Super-concentrated pure Vitamin E for easy absorption plus rich Rosehip Oil. Protects and nourishes skin against moisture loss, dehydration and signs of ageing." (Short version of the description.)

Main Ingredients (Vitamin E Oil): Vitamin E, Rosehip Oil.

Main Ingredients: (Vitamin E Cream): Vitamin E, Rosehip Oil, Allantoin, Lanolin.

Best Used: The Vitamin E oil is definitely my favourite. It can be used on the face, hands & body. I love it added into my moisturiser & at night I'll just add it straight under my eyes for a nice boost! It is a bit thick and sticky so at night you can totally get away with applying it straight. It's definitely a product I want to keep in the house forever.
The Vitamin E cream I love to use as a body lotion and it leaves my skin feeling so hydrated. It absorbs very quickly and adds a protective barrier to my skin.

Smells Like: The Vitamin E oil has a subtle rose smell, and I cannot figure out what the cream smells like! I will work it out...

Pros: A fantastic way to protect and repair skin. The oil is a fantastic boost at night by itself! It is high potency and a fantastic all-rounder. Fragrance free, no parabens.

Cons: The cream does contain mineral oil.

Price/Purchase From: $16.95 for 25ml of oil- $14.95 for 100g cream. These are available in some pharmacies or online at Plunketts.com.au
